Aspen Art Museum’s National Council is a leading patron group designed to support the Museum’s robust exhibition programming. Through events and meetings hosted by Nicola Lees, Nancy and Bob Magoon, Director of the Museum, National Council members have the opportunity to gain an inside look at the Aspen Art Museum, its exhibitions, and programming. Meeting bi-annually, the council is chaired by Sherry and Joe Felson. This year’s National Council dinner, presented by Lugano Diamonds, featured cuisine by chef Michelle Bernstein, a James Beard Foundation Award winner, and live music at the home of Holly Hunt. Colorado-based artist Maia Ruth Lee presented at the meeting. Lee’s work is currently on view at the Museum in Mountain / Time, the group exhibition of time-based media drawn from the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Rosenkranz Collection.
